A passion for creating beautiful interiors and capturing the magic of our world sparked the beginning of Michelle Schofield Photography. 

From humble beginnings trained in the art of black & white film and darkroom printing, Michelle Schofield Photography was borne from an evolution through travel, nature and portrait photography. 

Taking the best of each genre and applying those learnings to artworks that are designed foremost to instil a sense of wonder, I strive to create pieces that will be a part of your home over the long term. Artworks that won’t date, artworks that will compliment all types of interiors, and most importantly artworks that are produced using the highest quality materials and production methods.

I take inspiration from the Danish approach to creating a welcoming and happy home. And from a country consistently in the Top 3 World’s Happiest Nations, I think they must be doing something right! The Danes are known for their ability to create beautiful homes. They are considered about the items they own, and decorate with intention and style. Their decor, furniture and art are minimal but high quality and beautiful, and they would never buy something just because it’s on sale. 

In a world where too many of us shop for entertainment, cycle through our belongings far too quickly and create landfill at a rate we simply cannot sustain; we challenge the need for the mass-produced. Instead, I offer locally made, unique pieces designed to last a lifetime.
